Hair removal

Hair removalEllipse I²PL hair removal treatment offers clinically-proven, safe and effective long-term removal of unwanted hair.

To achieve long lasting hair removal, it is necessary to destroy the hair follicle from which the indivual hairs grow. Controlled pulses of light penetrate the epidermis and are absorbed by melanin in the hair contained in the follicle. Melanin converts the light energy into heat. This heat is transferred to the hair follicle, which is destroyed, making it unable to produce a new hair. Hair in the resting (telogen stage) are treated later. The treatment is only effective on growing hairs as these are still attached to the follicle. This technique is called "Selective Photothermolysis"
The visible light produced by Ellipse I²PL systems is carefully controlled to ensure the correct pulse length, wavelengths and right amount of energy to destroy the follicle.

Age spots, Redness, Uneven pigmentation

The Ellipse I²PL treatment works by directing well-controlled pulses of light into the upper skin layer. The light is absorbed by two of the body's own natural chemicals - melanin in the pigmented areas and haemoglobin in the red blood cells. Both these pigments convert the light energy into heat. This heat is used to destroy the parts of the cells in which the melanin is stored, and to damage the walls of the vessels supplying blood to the areas where vascular damage is seen. Photo rejuvenation is a quick and simple treatment that does not interfere with your normal daily routine, repairing sun-damage found on the face, neck, chest and hands.

Acne

The Ellipse treatment works by directing pulses of light into the epidermis. The light is absorbed by the haemoglobin in the blood vessels that feed the sebaceous glands. Haemoglobin converts the light energy into heat, which damages the walls of the vessels supplying blood to the glands
